About the position:

The Senior Product Manager works with product designers and the product management team to understand customer and colleague needs, defining complex requirements and building and releasing software. They will help shape product offerings for [focus area here] including [specific example 1 within focus area], [specific example 2 within focus area] and [specific example 3 within focus area]. Through these products, the Senior Product Manager will ensure a high-quality, streamlined customer experience which enables our customers to [accomplish the goal(s) that this product area will help them accomplish]. They will work closely with internal stakeholders from marketing, sales, product, delivery, engineering, data analytics and other departments as well as with our commercial and vendor partners to deliver a digital experience commensurate with our first-class events and content.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements and shape features for our [product focus area], coming up with scalable, streamlined ways we can [make things much easier for customers to do business with us, but in a way which is specific to this product focus area]
  • Work with Product Designers and Solution Architects to work through complexity and ambiguity to define and document new platform features
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering and QA teams to ensure those features are efficiently and effectively built, tested and launched through the full software development lifecycle (SLDC)
  • Set clear goals and ensure that what gets built and rolled out is both valuable and viable
  • Use performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement for the platform
  • Balance customer needs with resource constraints and roadmap timelines
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal and external engineering teams, design, marketing, sales and customer success
  • Clearly articulate tradeoffs and get buy-in from cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proactively build relationships with those outside of your immediate team resulting in horizontal influence
  • Manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way
  • Create documents, training presentations and other critical go-to-market items for internal teams to ensure successful rollout and adoption of new products and enhancements.
  • Listen to customers and business stakeholders, both internal and external, in as many ways as possible, as frequently as possible, from one-on-one interviews to surveys to prototype testing
  • Synthesize user insights to clearly and deeply understand their wants and needs. Use that understanding to steer product strategy and decisions
  • Research industry, customer, and competitor trends to inform future development.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in product management collaborating closely with product design, engineering and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience using data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Power BI) to bring insights
  • Experience with agile scrum delivery methodology
  • Experience with user research and voice of customer, using them to drive product strategy
  • Passion for improving customer experience and collaborating effectively with engineering
  • Well-organized, able to multitask and prioritize. Experience managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to deliver clear, concise and effective communications to both technical and business audiences
  • Emotional intelligence, building authentic and trustworthy connections with both internal and external stakeholders, to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Comfortable with trying things and sometimes failing
  • Resourceful, able to achieve results creatively with finite resources, get around roadblocks and stay focused on goals
  • Analytical and detail oriented, finding meaning and action in numbers, thinking strategically, and willing to get into the weeds Entrepreneurial, innovative and customer-centric mindset
  • Candidate needs to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary
  • Confident English
